Requirements for India Visa - For Applicants Applying to EOI Abu Dhabi:General Information
A tourist visa can only be granted to a foreigner who does not have a residence or occupation in India and whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sightseeing, casual visit to meet friends and relatives. No other activity is permissible on a Tourist Visa. The Tourist visa is non-extendable and non-convertible.
The government of India in its latest guidelines has decided to lift restriction on re-entry of foreign nationals coming to India on Tourist visa except in case of nationals of China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Iraq, Nigeria, North Korea, Sudan, Somalia and all foreigners of Pakistan (Pak origin)

Journalist – Copy of ID card/ Press Accreditation card and letter from UAE Company stating that they will be going for Tourism purpose only.
Applicants from countries like Yemen, Jordan and Palestine will have to be physically present at the center while submitting their Indian Visa application.
