  • Two Valid Indian Photo ID issued in the desired /applied changed name
  • In case of NRI applicants and their dependent family members who have been staying abroad on long term permanent or work visa/permit, two public documents issued by the UAE government, mark sheet or certificate from educational institution in UAE, where the student is enrolled may be accepted.
  • The supporting photo ID or documents for name change should have the date of birth & father name matching as per the existing passport.
  • Newspaper advertisement in original, of two leading daily newspapers, notifying the change of name. One daily newspaper should be of the area of applicant's permanent address in India and another daily newspaper of the area of applicant's present address in UAE. Please attach full sheets of the newspaper and not cuttings thereof. OR Original Gazette notification of the concerned state government.
  • Both Newspaper advertisements should complete 7 days of notification period.
  • Applicant on visit visa are not eligible for this service.

  • Passport expired within 3 years can be accepted under Tatkal provided resident visa is valid.
